Mark
Decena: Director/Co-writer
Mark leads the extraordinary team of creative, film and business professionals, serving as the president of Dopamine Productions LP. Possessing a sharp eye for capturing a moment and a genuine nature that brings out the honesty in his subjects, Mark was an ideal director to shoot the uniquely modern day love story, Dopamine. In 2000, Mark partnered with Tim Breitbach and producer
Tad Fettig to form Kontent, a strategic entertainment-focused production
company, that would open new horizons to the world of digital production.
Having twice been accepted to the Sundance Film Festival for his short
films Fly by Shooting (1993) and One of Those Days (1996), Mark was invited
to the Sundance Institute 1998 Filmmakers/Screenwriters Lab to workshop
the feature |
Tim was born to tell stories‹whether it is co-writing Dopamine with his Creative Partner, Mark Decena, writing song lyrics, uncovering truths in documentaries or creating new television programming for non-traditional venues. Trained as a journalist and with a background as an advertising Creative Director; Tim specializes in understanding the subtle differences in humanbehavior and putting it into film and other media. Tim and Mark founded Asylum, a non-traditional, film-focused advertising agency in 1995 with the sole focus of finding new avenues to communicate andtell stories. Tim and Mark had the honor of working on the Dopamine feature script at the 1998 Sundance Filmmakers & Screenwriters Workshop. In writing Dopamine, the partners took a unique approach to character development; each taking two main characters points of view; making for a passionate, collaborative adventure. Tim and his partners Tad Fettig and Decena, created Kontent,
a strategic entertainment-focused production company where Dopamine would
later be produced. Kontent is dedicated to telling stories that matter
in film, documentaries and television. |
